Hey everybody! So while a normal person would be all recovered by now from a typical wisdom teeth extraction - leave it to me to have something awful happen!
Earlier today while at work, I went to take a drink of water...
Only to have it come pouring out my nose!! After demonstrating my new-found skill several times for curious employees, I ended up going back to the oral surgeon.
Two things:
A small hole developed that was connected to my sinus cavity as a result of the surgery. Doc said that should heal on its own in a few days. I just can't blow my nose under any circumstance.
It also turned out that I have a massive infection on one side, which would explain why it wasn't healing properly & causing lots of pain a week post-op.
This part required another procedure to cut out fragments of bone tissue (eww!!) & to clean the site, adding 2 small drains.
Oh, and btw... I was awake this time!!
6 shots of Novocaine & a lot of gauze later, I'm starting to feel somewhat human again. For the next 48 hours I expect that I'll stay home, veg out & play xbox.
With that said...
I have a wedding to go to on Friday, and on Monday... (brace yourself for exciting news!)
I'll be appearing on the CW11 Morning Show News part of their radio week! I'm already starting to feel better, so let's hope by Monday I'm at 100%.
Thanks for stopping by -
Next entry will be about something pleasant like shoes or makeup. Promise!
