Hi.  I’m Wendy.  My hair is always a mess when I wake up in the morning.  Most of the time it stands straight up and there’s nothing I can do about it.

I’m quirky and nerdy.

I burp a LOT!  Producer Roberta usually keeps a tally going on the weekends!

I try to learn something new each day – both Wikipedia and Google are my friends.

I comic book heroes!

I find old architecture very interesting.  I’m especially intrigued by train and subway systems.

I'm a book-worm - Harry Potter & Twilight FANATIC!

My idea of dressing up involves adding nicer shoes, more makeup and more accessories to my regular uniform of a t-shirt and jeans.

My hair color changes a lot depending on my mood.

I'm somewhat of a gamer  – Guitar Hero, Rockband, Soul Calibur IV, N+...  I my XBox 360!

I’m a little obsessive compulsive about neatness.

I'm a trapeze artist.

I've been doing radio since 17 & lusting for it since  9.

I'm a Sagittarius w/ the exact same birthday as Britney Spears

Such fun!  Thank you to everyone at CW11 for being sooooo super fantastic!  Amy of course, Emily Frances, Spencer, Cecilia & Joe.  It was fun to see all the behind-the-scenes stuff that goes on to produce a major morning news show.

Jill Nicolini is even more beautiful in person than she is on TV if you can believe it!

Lots of credit goes to where credit is due:

It's a little bit scary to be in front of the camera - but during the interview portion (6:45 segment), I felt a little more at home in "conversation mode".  Hehe...

Seriously though, that was such a fantabulous experience!  And to get through it all w/out falling, burping or hiccuping (too much), I'd say I'm proud of myself for a first-time TV experience.

Thank you again to everyone who watched this morning & again to the CW11 for making one of my dreams come true!

Make sure you set your DVR's or watch while you're getting ready for work!  This coming Monday, (11/17/08) at 6:10am make sure you tune in to see me cover the entertainment news.  Then at 6:45am, Emily Frances will interview me about how much I looooove my KTU!

How am I doing?
Wednesday 11-12-2008 6:27pm ET

Hey everybody!  So while a normal person would be all recovered by now from a typical wisdom teeth extraction - leave it to me to have something awful happen!

Earlier today while at work, I went to take a drink of water...

Only to have it come pouring out my nose!!  After demonstrating my new-found skill several times for curious employees, I ended up going back to the oral surgeon.

Two things:

A small hole developed that was connected to my sinus cavity as a result of the surgery.  Doc said that should heal on its own in a few days.  I just can't blow my nose under any circumstance.

It also turned out that I have a massive infection on one side, which would explain why it wasn't healing properly & causing lots of pain a week post-op.

This part required another procedure to cut out fragments of bone tissue (eww!!) & to clean the site, adding 2 small drains.

Oh, and btw... I was awake this time!!

6 shots of Novocaine & a lot of gauze later, I'm starting to feel somewhat human again.  For the next 48 hours I expect that I'll stay home, veg out & play xbox

With that said...
I have a wedding to go to on Friday, and on Monday... (brace yourself for exciting news!)
I'll be appearing on the CW11 Morning Show News part of their radio week!  I'm already starting to feel better, so let's hope by Monday I'm at 100%.

Thanks for stopping by -

Next entry will be about something pleasant like shoes or makeup.  Promise!
